AM I A CANDIDATE FOR A COSMETIC TATTOO?
To avoid any disappointment, please read through the following questions to see if you are a candidate for a cosmetic tattoo BEFORE BOOKING YOUR APPOINTMENT. Click here.
NUMBING/TOPICAL ANAESTHETIC
Topical numbing agents are considered a restricted drug and/or medicine, as such, they are heavily regulated throughout Australia. Due to the Queensland regulations and guidelines of the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), the Medicines and Poisons Regulation 2021, and the Queensland Government, only practitioners outlined in these acts are able to prepare and administer topical anaesthetics. We do not accept Emla or Numit over the counter numbing as these take upwards of 45mins to take effect and do not last very long. They are also not formulated specifically for cosmetic tattooing and not ideal for use on broken skin. There are 2 types of numbing available, pre-treatment and during treatment. Pre-treatment numbing is not to be used on broken skin, while the during treatment numbing can be applied to broken skin. Please purchase both types, this way we can ensure your comfort level is maintained. YOU WILL NEED TO FILL OUT TWO FORMS. The most popular choices are: - Pre-numbing #1 and - During Numbing - Mild Broken Numb But please check with the pharmacist when they call you as to which one is most suitable for YOU. If you are having eyeliner tattooing done, then you will need both the eyeliner options for pre numbing and during numbing. These are specially formulated for around the eye area. The 10 gram size will be enough for the first visit and the touch up. Below are the details of a compounding pharmacy where you can order your script online and you can advise them of the specific procedure you are having and they will best advise you on which product will be best. ALLOW 7-10 DAYS FOR YOUR ORDER TO BE COMPLETED - If you need it sooner please contact ACPHARM directly and speak with a member of their team. Acpharm - 20 Central Park Avenue, Ashmore QLD 4214 (07)55265422 admin@acpharm.com.au https://acpharm.com.au/numbingorder/ You are required to order, purchase and supply the numbing of your choice. There are NO exceptions to this. If you arrive to your appointment without appropriate numbing, then your appointment will be cancelled and the deposit will go towards covering the costs of setting up & wastage of products and materials.

+ EYEBROWS (ALL STYLES)
Do not tint, dye or wax your brow area for 2 weeks before your appointment. Do not laminate your brows within 8 weeks of your appointment. Discontinue use of brow growth serums 4 weeks before your appointment. Where possible have your brows done BEFORE botox, if this is not possible, then please wait at least 4-6 weeks post botox before having this procedure.
+ LIP BLUSH
Around 80% of the population carries the virus for coldsores, regardless of whether you have ever had an outbreak or not, there is a high chance that you may carry this virus. The lip blush procedure implants pigment via tiny puncture holes, this causes mild trauma to the lip area and can (in some cases) trigger an outbreak. It is highly recommended that you speak with your Doctor and get advise. If you know you carry this virus and are prone to outbreaks, then please take the recommended antivirals prescribed by your Doctor. In order to keep risks as low as possible and to protect your investment we ask that you adhere to the following: - Inform us prior to your appointment if you have extremely dry lips so we can give you advise. - Do not shave, wax or pluck any facial hairs from the lip area! This is very important. - No botox/lip fillers for at least 1 month before your appointment. - No fat transfers to the lip area in the last 6 months. - No facial surgery in the last 12 months (will need a clearance letter from your Doctor) Only use the products supplied in your prep pack. If you were unable to get this in time then please use a mix of coconut oil and sugar to lightly exfoliate your lips for 3-4 days and use a non-fruit acid lip balm/moisturiser. Do NOT use pawpaw ointment. Drink PLENTY of water. Hydration is a key step to obtaining desired results.
+ EYELINER
Discontinue use of any lash serums for 4 weeks before your appointment. Remove lash extensions at least 2 days before the appointment. No contact lenses are to be worn to the studio or for the next 24 hours. It is your responsibility to remove them prior to your arrival for the procedure. If you arrive with lash extensions the appointment will be rescheduled due to an increased risk of infection & you will lose your deposit. The deposit will go towards covering the cost of setting up for the procedure and wastage of products. I can remove the lashes for you and reschedule your appointment to a more suitable time if necessary.
AFTERCARE
+ EYEBROWS (ALL STYLES)
DO - Blot the treated area with the pads provided in your Aftercare kit, do this every 30-60mins for the rest of the day to prevent lymph fluid building up and forming a thick scab. - Keep the area dry for the first 24 hours (use the shield provided when showering) - Gently wash the brows twice per day with water and/or mild soap. - Apply a rice grain sized amount of ointment 2-3 times per day - Avoid the sun for 14 days and wear a hat. DO NOT - Do not use a washcloth or anything abrasive on the treated area. - Do not pick or scratch the area, even if it is itchy. Itching is normal during healing, and please allow the flaking/scabs to fall of naturally…do not ‘help them’. - Do not use a sauna, swim, or expose to steam for 10-14 days. - Do not apply makeup to the treated area for 10-14 days. - Do not perform heavy exercise for 1 week to avoid heaving sweating. After the initial procedure your brows will appear almost perfect, but this will change. Please be aware of the healing stages to avoid stressing about your brows. Your brows will go through several stages where they will become darker, then will become scabbed and itchy, and finally will almost disappear (ghosting stage), before finally healing to between 50% and 70% of their original depth. Once you have gone through a full cycle of skin regeneration (4-6 weeks) most, but not all, of the pigment will remain. It is necessary to schedule a perfecting session (touch-up) to complete the process. - TRUST THE PROCESS -

(There is always a chance of getting ointment in your eye, so please be very careful and ONLY use it if you have to, dry healing is best if you can) - Avoid the sun for 14 days and wear a hat. DO NOT - Do not touch, rub or scratch the treated area. The skin around the eyes is very sensitive and you can peel the pigment off if you treat it inappropriately. Use a lip wand dipped into sterile water and gently clean the area, being careful not to lift any scabs off prematurely. - No makeup, especially mascara, for 14 days. - Avoid sun exposure and wear a hat. - Avoid sweating, saunas, gyms and working out as well as swimming pools. - No facials, botox or any other cosmetic treatments for at least 4 weeks. - Do not sleep on your face and use a clean pillowcase. - Do not wear contact lenses during the permanent eyeliner aftercare period. Wear glasses instead. After the initial procedure your eyeliner will appear almost perfect, but this will change. Please be aware of the healing stages to avoid unnecessary stress. Your eyeliner will go through several stages where it will become darker, then will become tight, scabbed and itchy, and finally will almost disappear (ghosting stage), before returning slightly patchy.
